Hello Paolo, the scandal was initially sparked by a secret recording of a post game locker room conversation where the referees were told off by one of their commissioners for not having done enough to let a particular team win.
In reality it was denounced by several sources, including myself.
The outcome of an inquiry following those allegations was the resignation of the President of the Russian Federation, Chernov, the radiation of the designator and the commissioner and three referees.
The latter were rehabilitated after an admission of guilt from all the referees of the Russian League, which claimed that if the three colleagues were to be banned, then they should all have to be disqualified and called for a profound reform of the system.
The most tangible result of all was the creation of the new Russian league.
