I wrote you some time ago with an update on the different activities I was involved in as a coach of the Spanish national team, together with my coaching staff, for the post-World Championship analysis. I will update you with a brief summary of the next steps:

This morning the whole world has woken up in front of TV, following the rescue of the Chilean miners.
Apart from the emotional side of it, for the families and the miners themselves, I was very impressed by the fact that, like the Olympics or a World Championship, the whole world united followed what was happening in a very specific place, this time without split in supporting this or that team, this or that athlete, but all rooting for the same team, the team of the miners in their struggle...

We have finished the first round of official matches convincingly, winning all the six qualifying games for the Euroleague, a good balance considering that the level of the opponents was good and that in almost all the games we managed to get very close to the level of play that we are aiming at reaching for all the 40 minutes of every game.

Watching Timofey Mozgov playing well on Sunday night with the jersey of the New York Knicks vs. Armani Jeans Milano, and knowing that Mike D'Antoni and his staff are happy with the way he has begun the season, it reminded me of two years ago when I arrived in Khimki, where Tima was a player of the second team.
I immediately decided he will be part of our starting five and when I announced my choice nobody could believe it, not even in the club.

Congratulations to the girls of the Spanish national team for the bronze medal at the world championship! Here in Russia the TV showed all the games and Blanca and I have watched them together.
